OUR MISSION
INTI
Born in Bali, Inti is a socially sustainable slow fashion brand that aims to raise awareness about the stigma surrounding incarcerated women by sharing the personal stories of the women of LPP Kerobokan who create each piece.
Inti means ‘core’ in Indonesian as the women of LPP Kerobokan are the core of everything from the inspiration to the community that will be benefiting from this project. Inti is also the sun god in Inca religion representing light and strength which is why it has been chosen to be the logo.
These talented women will be using their newly taught skills of embroidery to bring my designs to life and create bespoke headscarves, shorts and napkins. All of the proceeds from the sales will go back to them and their families to better their lives.

THE DESIGNER
Hi! I'm Maddie Shepherd, a High School student in their last year at Green School Bali. At Green School, there is no final exam or test instead their is a year long project which meets the criteria of a passion project, developing solutions to real-world problems, and impacting communities.
I chose to set up a fashion brand, Inti which collaborates with the women of Kerobokan prison. This project was sparked from not only my passion for fashion, but also from one of my mentors who had spoken about the stories of the women inside of the prison. Upon hearing these stories, I knew I needed to find out more.
Once I met the women I discovered their amazing talents and I knew I wanted to incorporate this into my project. Through this project, I have been forming connections with these inspiration ladies as I've learn't their stories which has made me realise that some of these women didn’t even have a chance in the first place.
